Unconscious Man Found Shot West of Downtown

Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – Shooting leaves one Fort Wayne man unconscious and in critical condition west of downtown.

Fort Wayne police were called to the 1800 block of Broadway Street in reference to an unconscious male lying outside near an apartment building just after 6 a.m. Tuesday.

When police arrived they discovered the male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s). He was taken to a local hospital in serious condition and later downgraded to critical by a hospital physician.

Detectives are currently interviewing witnesses near the scene. No arrests have been made and there are no suspects at this time.

This incident remains under investigation.
