United Way Thanks UPS for Years of Generosity

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - The employees at UPS were thanked for their deep pockets at a celebration breakfast at the Grand Wayne Center Thursday morning, the United Way awarded UPS its "Spirit of Giving Award," for being the agency's top contributor, with more than 70-percent of its employees donating to the cause.

Overall, the United Way raised $5.1 million, up from $4.9 million last year.

United Way CEO Todd Stephenson says, “Funding many outcomes related to education, income, health and basic needs. We've also really embarked on some key initiatives in conjunction with other partners in the region and in the community."

This is the third year in a row that donations have increased for the United Way.
