INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - Four vehicles were damaged from what seemed to be a sinkhole-like gap in a road on Indianapolis' north side Wednesday.

According to a city public spokeswoman, the sinkhole is thought to be caused by the recent heavy rains that the city has received.

The hole measuring 4 feet wide and about 8 feet deep opened up Tuesday night on River Road, along the White River and near the Fashion Mall shopping center.

Barricades are currently outlining the sinkhole until city officials can repair the damage.
