Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Six years ago Dawain Dontae Porter was shot, but this past week the 24-year-old died of complications stemming from that gun-shot wound.

Back in December of 2006, Porter was shot in the parking lot of Glenbrook Square Mall. The incident left him paralyzed.

At the time, Joshua William Walker was charged with aggravated battery in the case.

The Allen County Coroner's Office has ruled Porter’s death the city’s 17th homicide of 2012.

The Journal Gazette is reporting that prosecutors don't think they have enough evidence at this time to file charges against him for Porter's death.
