Kosciusko County, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – Tuesday evening in Cromwell, State Police, along with officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, Syracuse Police Department, and the Syracuse Fire Department, responded to a report of a stabbing.
Kosciusko County Central Dispatch received the 911 call reporting the stabbing in the Enchanted Hills subdivision just before 7 p.m.
Officers arrived to the scene to find the victim, Joseph Lee Coon, 27, of Cromwell, with stab wounds. He was treated at a nearby hospital for his injuries and later released.
Before Coon left the scene for the hospital he was able to give the name and location of the stabbing suspect, Kenny Ferguson, 61. Ferguson was located at his residence and arrested by officers without incident. He was arrested for battery with a deadly weapon and is being held on a $5000.00 surety bond in the Kosciusko County Jail.
