Warsaw Babysitter Faces Criminal Charges for Toddler's Death

Warsaw, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - A Warsaw babysitter faces criminal charges after a child died while in her care.

43-year-old Dana Shell has been charged with neglect of a dependent in connection with the August death of an 18-month-old boy.

An autopsy determined the child died from positional asphyxia caused by the partial strapping of the child in a car seat used inside the home.

Shell indicated that there was a concern with the child in the seat, but did not take immediate action to care for the toddler.
