Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - One-quarter of Americans who have HIV/AIDS don't know they have it.

Wednesday marks the 13th annual "National HIV Testing" day.

That's particularly important since 44 percent of people with HIV aren't diagnosed until they've developed full-blown aids.

A statement from the Aids Task Force of Northeast Indiana says early diagnosis is critical, so people can start getting life-saving treatment.

For more information about testing, call the Aids Task Force at 744-1144.
