Focus on Health Begins at Parkview Field

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Free health screenings were given to Northeast Indiana residents at Parkview Field.

Tuesday morning, close to 100 patients from throughout the Northeast Indiana area turned out for the event Focus on Health, which has been going on for more than 30 years in the Fort Wayne area. Over the course of the traveling fair, 12 different locations will host the event that works to provide various free health screenings for patients of all ages.

Most health screenings provided at the Parkview Hospital run event include blood pressure measurement, vision tests, height and weight and cancer screening kits. Some locations will also include osteoporosis screenings, hearing tests and an array of blood tests beginning at a cost of $8.

To date, more than 143,000 adults between the ages of 18 and 100 have benefited from this program.

The next Focus on Health event is Thrusday, April 19 at the Renaissance Pointe YMCA from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
