Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - The American Red Cross was at the Allen County Memorial Coliseum for a blood drive hosted by the Wing Dingers.
The other two times the Wing Dingers have held their convention in Fort Wayne, they've surpassed the Red Cross' goal for collecting units of blood.
This year hasn't been any different.
During the summer, the Red Cross is always short of blood and looking for volunteers to donate.
The Red Cross hoped to collect more than 250 units of blood at the Wing Ding Convention.
