Woman Tries To Steal A Month Old Baby After Faking Pregnancy

Indianapolis (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - A Terre Haute woman was sentenced to 28 years behind bars after she admitted she stabbed a couple and tried to kidnap their month old son.

Prosecutors say 36-year-old Stephanie Foster faked a pregnancy after a miscarriage then tried to steal the child.

In exchange for Foster's guilty plea to armed robbery resulting in serious bodily injury, prosecutors agreed to drop charges of attempted murder and aggravated battery.
