The White House is assuring consumers that the "Cash For Clunkers" program will continue through this weekend, but area dealers are left in the middle. We visited Glenbrook Dodge this morning and found more than two dozen vehicles that had been traded in recently as clunkers.
Dealers say the program is very labor intensive, but has been very good for business, but the depleted federal funding puts dealers in a tough position, not knowing if they'll be reimbursed by the government.
Most dealership are writing deals as if the program were still in place, but the reality is, you won't be driving a car off the lot today if you want the government incentive.

A vote is not scheduled for today in the Senate, but lawmakers and the White House are hoping to add 2-billion dollars in funding for the program by next week.
