INDIANA (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Medicaid recipients in the Hoosier state are going to see some of their benefits reduced.
Dental coverage will be capped at a $1,000 a year in addition to vision coverage reductions.
The cuts will affect just two percent of recipients and save the state $12 million a year.
Also happening at midnight there will be some changes in the nation's health care laws.
The Health Care Reform passed by Congress earlier this year has phased-in changes, some of which take effect January first.
Insurance companies can't discriminate against children with pre-existing conditions
And employer plans have to spend 80- 85 percent of your premium dollars on services related to medical care.
The law also has a new rule for people with flexible spending accounts; there will be restrictions on using those funds for over-the-counter medications.
