FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Thanksgiving may still be a few days away, but for some the turkey is already on the table.
The Fort Wayne Boys and Girls Club provided a Thanksgiving feast for nearly 600 low-income children and adults in Fort Wayne this year.
The event is a partnership between the Boys and Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne, Community Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Indiana, the Fort Wayne Housing Authority, Ceruti's, and the Greater Mount Ararat Baptist Church in Fort Wayne.
Community members living in the McCormick and Brookmill Apartment complexes were invited to the event taking place Monday and Tuesday from 5 to 6:30 pm.
The event was first created in 2009 by Boys and Girls Club of Fort Wayne Executive Director Joe Jordan.
