WASHINGTON (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - President Obama signed the tax extension bill, passed Thursday night by the House.
The bill locks current income tax rates for two years, payroll tax for one year and the unemployed will see a year more of benefits.
President Obama said, “When we can put aside the partisanship and political games and put aside what's good for some of us in favor of what's good for all of us, we can get a lot done."
Thursday night's tax vote in the House was bipartisan, but three times as many Democrats as Republicans voted no.
