FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Money may not come with instructions, but the week ahead offers opportunities for you to learn better ways to spend, save and borrow.
The Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service helped organize a money fair at the City-County Building, where banks and other agencies set up table displays about a variety of financial topics for the entire family.
Money Smart Week kicks off Saturday, with seminars and workshops to be held in and around Fort Wayne to get you up to speed on taking care of your hard-earned cash.
Extension Educator Vickie Hadley says, “Whether that's just basic money management, or taking a look at investment options, new credit card rules. Mainly, it's making a face with someone in the community, that in case they need some financial education, some resources, they know who to turn to.”
Seminars next week include foreclosure prevention and understanding your own credit report.
