PHILADELPHIA (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - A Philadelphia abortion doctor is now facing eight counts of murder in the deaths of a patient and seven babies prosecutors say were born alive and then killed.
Dr. Kermitt Gosnell is charged with third degree murder for the death of a 41-year-old woman when she was overdosed on anesthetics prescribed by the doctor.
The other charges are for the deaths of infants who were born alive during the 6th, 7th or 8th months of pregnancy, then killed with scissors shortly after birth.
