UNDATED (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Mosquitoes have carried the Dengue Virus all the way to the U.S.
Dengue causes fever, painful joints and can be deadly in extreme cases.
In 2009, 3 cases of Dengue fever were reported in Key West, Florida.
There hasn't been an outbreak in the U.S. in more than 75-years.
CDC officials acquired blood samples of 240 Key West residents and found an estimated 5-percent had been exposed to the virus.
Experts are concerned the virus could travel to other southern cities like Miami.
