WASHINGTON DC (Indiana's NewsCenter) - In the wake of the gulf oil spill, the U.S. Senate is set to debate a leaner energy reform bill that focuses on oil disasters.
The measure, unveiled Tuesday, would increase the liability on oil companies in the event of spills, and also provides incentives for more energy-efficient homes and vehicles.
The bill was dramatically scaled-back from its previous version in hopes of winning some Republican support.
