FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - One of Fort Wayne's premiere eye surgeons and a blind man affected by a retinal disease ran tethered in support of a cure.
They say they're running for the more than 10 million Americans and their families who are struggling with this disease.
“It affects all of their families, their friends, their loved ones and there’s nothing that we can really do for a lot of these treatments,” Cataract and Laser Institute specialist Dr. Cathleen McCabe said. “Visionwalk gives families friends and patients something that they can do to look for a hope and a cure for the future.”
If you missed today's run, you can still help find a cure. The third annual VisionWalk will be held June 13th at Headwaters Park as a part of German fest.
