One Dead In Farm Accident

GRABILL, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Police say a young boy is dead following a farm accident in rural Allen County.

Police were called to the scene near Roth and Springfield Center roads just after 9pm.

They say the land belongs to an Amish family.

Sheriff Ken Fries says a father was driving a horse-drawn carriage and pulling a wagon full of hay. A 9-year old boy, Steven Lengacher was riding in the passenger seat of the carriage. The father says he heard a a "thud" and that's when he realized the boy had been run over.
