INDIANAPOLIS (www.incnow.tv) - Students in Indiana are one step closer to once again being taught cursive writing in schools.
The State Senate Education and Career Development Committee approved a bill Wednesday that would require cursive writing as part of statewide curriculum.
The Indiana Department of Education dropped the requirement in 2011.
The bill, sponsored by State Sen. Jean Leising, R-Oldenburg, now moves to the full State Senate.
