(Indiana's NewsCenter) -- Despite being asked to quit by top republicans, Todd Akin, a GOP Congressman who is running for Senate in Missouri says he is not stepping down and intends to stay in the race despite comments he made saying "If it's a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut the whole thing down" to prevent pregnancy.
If he does stay in, Akin may have an uphill battle in his race with now Democratic Senator Clair McCaskill, since the GOP and some PAC's are pulling money from his campaign.
