AUGUSTA, Georgia (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Plans have been approved to build the first nuclear power plant in the US in more than 30 years.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission voted Thursday to build two nuclear reactors near Augusta, Georgia.
The panel's chair voted against the plan, citing the nuclear disaster in Japan following a devastating earthquake and tsunami last March.
