Indiana (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Indiana’s current governor is telling the men who want to succeed him, that they should be careful in dealing with Indiana’s complicated Medicaid situation.
Indiana is one of a handful of states considering only partially expanding its Medicaid program under the federal health care overhaul.
It is one interpretation of the Supreme Court’s ruling on the law.
Daniels won't say what he would do, but he will say his successor should watch his step.
Daniels says, “It's going to be very expensive for the states, and they could make choices that they might regret later, which would make it even more expensive."
Indiana, New Mexico, and Wisconsin are among the states asking the federal government to let them omit from Medicaid expansion, residents whose incomes put them just above the poverty level.
