WASHINGTON D.C. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - At the request of President Obama flags across the United States are to be lowered to half-staff, this Friday in memory of Neil Armstrong.
He was the first astronaut to step-foot on the moon in 1969.
Monday night, Armstrong was remembered during a ceremony at Purdue, where he graduated college.
He died Saturday at age 82 and will be laid to rest Friday.
