INDIANA (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - The economic outlook for the Hoosier state is not as good as it is for its neighbors.
Nationally, the unemployment rate for December dropped two-tenths to 8.5 percent.
Tuesday morning, the Indiana Department of Workforce Development said the Hoosier state remained unchanged from the month before, at nine-percent.
And Ohio’s dropped four-tenths, to 8.1 percent.
Elkhart County sits at number three in the state with 11.2 percent unemployment.
Noble County comes in at number-22, with one out of every ten of its residents out of work.
Steuben is at number-28, with 9.7 percent unemployment.
And Allen County ranks number-49 with 8.6 percent of the population out of a job.
