WASHINGTON (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - The U.S. Department of Labor has withdrawn its proposal that would impact family farms across America.
The new rules would have greatly restricted the role children played on the farm. The rules would have prohibited youngsters from operating almost all types of power driven equipment, as well as not being allowed at feed lots among other things.
Indiana Senator Dan Coats was happy about the reversal saying, “This rule was another outrageous example of government intrusion in the lives of Americans.”
