Fort Wayne, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - We caught up with one woman from Germany who recently became an American citizen just this past February as she votes for the first time.
Karin Brenig says she spent months looking up where all the candidates' views were on the issues, making her a very informed voter.
We were there as Brenig experienced the excitement of casting her first-ever ballot.
Brenig said, “This is very big. This is important, because it's not just the President. There's all kinds of offices up for grabs in Indiana. I make a dent. My vote counts, really."
Brenig says the poll workers were very helpful in explaining the voting process.
She planned to stay up late rooting for her candidates.
