FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry appears to have brokered a bi-partisan deal to boost competition for city service contracts.
For months, city council has complained about the way it must negotiate with only one firm to provide accounting, architectural or other services.
Late Tuesday afternoon, Mayor Henry and Republican Councilman John Crawford will announce an ordinance that’ll be introduced at council. That would mandate the city try to strike a deal with several entities before signing on the bottom line.
