October 2012 Jobs Report Shows Unemployment Rate At 7.9%

UNDATED (www.incnow.tv) - The new jobs report released Friday morning shows unemployment ticked up a bit.

The unemployment rate stands at 7.9%.

The Labor Department says the U.S. economy added 171,000 jobs, more than expected.

But the number of unemployed Americans is essentially unchanged in October at 12.3 million.

The unemployment rate for September was 7.8 percent.
