Undated (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - A new ABC News - Washington Post poll finds President Obama and Mitt Romney locked in a dead heat over who could fix the economy.
Both candidates are tied at 47 percent on the economy and only 16 percent of Americans say their financial situation has improved since Obama took office.
However, the poll finds that Romney has yet to fully seize this opportunity with just two in 10 Americans thinking they'd be better off had Romney been steering the economy instead of Obama.
The president and his campaign have been on the attack, going after Republican opponent Mitt Romney's record as a businessman.
