Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - With just over 50 days remaining before Election Day, Indiana’s Senate race continues to heat up.
Congressman Joe Donnelly made a lunch time stop in Fort Wayne to discuss his Medicare and Social Security plans with seniors.
Polls have shown a tight race between Donnelly and his Republican opponent Richard Mourdock, Donnelly was encouraged by an August poll conducted by his campaign that showed him with a 3 point lead over Mourdock.
Donnelly said, “It's very close, it's going to be close to the end and we're going to have to work non-stop, but the reason why is Mr. Mourdock has talked about partisanship, being divisive and I've talked about working together.”
Donnelly's poll also found 14-percent of voters were still undecided about the Senate race.
