INDIANA (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Governor Mitch Daniels has signed a bill making full-day kindergarten a reality in Indiana.
The law will provide $80 million in funding for full-day kindergarten beginning this Fall.
Indiana State Schools Superintendent Dr. Tony Bennett says the new law will add to a youngsters potential for success.
Both the Governor and Bennett agree that kindergarten should remain a top priority and the state can afford to fund the program every year.
