Treasury Dept.: "Go Direct" to Save U.S. Billions of Dollars

UNDATED (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - A new PSA is making sure everyone knows about Go Direct. It's a new campaign that means big changes for people who get federal benefits, like Social Security.

Starting in March, anyone who gets a paper check from the government will have to switch to direct deposit or to getting the money put on a credit card.

The Treasury Department says Go Direct will save the U.S. a billion dollars.
