COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - The Ohio Supreme Court has refused to let a Cincinnati-based moral issues group join in opposing a challenge to legislation regulating conduct inside strip clubs.
Citizens for Community Values and two of its staff had asked the
court for permission to intervene to help fight the efforts of a group known as Vote No on Issue 1.
The state has ruled that the Vote No group failed to obtain enough valid signatures to force a referendum on a law barring strip club patrons from touching dancers.
Vote No has asked the court to order the secretary of state to
put the referendum on the November ballot.
