NEW ALBANY, Ind. (AP) - President Bush will make his third trip to southern Indiana in just over a year, when he stops in New Albany to talk about the federal budget.
Bush will speak Tuesday at The Grand convention center at the
invitation of One Southern Indiana, a combined chamber of commerce
and economic development organization for Clark and Floyd counties.
White House spokesman Alex Conant says Bush has been traveling
the country talking about the need for the Congress to pass "a fiscally responsible, pro-growth budget."
Bush also came to New Albany in March to visit an elementary school and deliver a speech urging Congress to renew the federal No
Child Left Behind Law.
In October 2006, he attended a campaign rally in Sellersburg for former Republican U.S. Rep. Mike Sodrel.
