Fort Wayne, IN (Indiana's News Center)---The State Senate seat for District 13 was up for grabs on Saturday at a Republican caucus in Kendallville, Indiana.
Bob Meeks held the seat for twenty years before deciding to step down due to health reasons.
The Republican precinct committee members gathered today to select a replacement for longtime Representative Bob Meeks.
Caucus members had the choice of four candidates; Marlon Stutzman, Sue Ann Mitchell, Matt Bell, and Brad Fox.
After three ballots, the nomination went to Marlon Stutzman.
Stuzman is currently the District 53 State Representative of Howe, Indiana.
He will take on retired banker and Democratic nominee Fred Demske in the Fall.
