FORT WAYNE, IND (Indiana's News Center)---A Republican caucus was held for the vacant Congressional House District 52 seat.
The seat became available when Representative Marlin Stutzman of Howe was chosen to replace retiring Senator Bob Meeks. Meeks is retiring because of health reasons but will finish his term.
There were 38-voting caucus members tonight with 8 candidate choices.
David Yarde beat Roger Diehm by just two votes.
District 52 includes Dekalb, Lagrange, and Noble counties.
