Indiana (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Indiana lawmakers are tossing around the idea of a commuter tax for residents that live in one county but work in another.
Proponents say it would help pay for roads, police and fire departments.
The tax would be based upon income. For every $40,000 earned, you will leave behind $100 in the county where you earn a living.
