FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Fort Wayne City Councilman Tim Pape is calling out two of his fellow council members for what he says is a classic case of flip-flopping.
In a letter penned to the Department of Local Government Finance, Pape referred to the “about face” by Council Members Liz Brown and Mitch Harper in a requesting that the state deny Fort Wayne's 2010 levy increase.
Both Brown and Harper voted for the levy, and are now asking the Department of Local Government Finance to turn down the tax increase.
$2.9 million is how much the tax levy would raise for the city of Fort Wayne.
