FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The Election Day hangover can't last long for Congress members old and new.
The House and Senate will reconvene soon for their lame-duck session through the end of this year. Lawmakers still have pending issues to work on this year including budget bills and a measure to repeal the military's Don't Ask, Don't Tell ban on openly-gay service measures.
IPFW Political Science professor, Dr. Michael Wolf appeared live on Indiana's NewsCenter Today to talk about how the big Republican wins on Tuesday could impact the lame-duck session and legislation in the next term, which begins in January.
They also talked about the upcoming change in control in the U.S. House. The Republican victories means western Ohio Congressman John Boehner will likley be voted the new House Speaker, replacing Democrat Nancy Pelosi
