WASHINGTON (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Democrats in the U.S Senate have put the kibosh on a Republican bill to repeal the health care reform law.
The effort was defeated by a 51 to 47 party-line procedural vote in the Democrat-controlled Senate Wednesday.
Republicans passed the repeal in the House last month, and it wasn't expected to survive in the Senate.
Majority Leader Harry Reid said he wanted to get the repeal out of the way so the Senate could move-ahead with other business.
