After You've Prepared For The Storm Check-In With Your Neighbors

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - As the region prepares to handle the approaching snow storm Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry want to remind you that you should be proactive for yourself and others.

As you make sure to having all your provisions for you and your family check with your neighbors, especially the elderly and sick.

Everyone should have access to these important provisions:
-An adequate food supply
-Blankets
-Flashlights
-Batteries
-Medicine
-Baby formula

And pet owners should make sure they have appropriate supplies and take steps to have a safe location for their pets during deteriorating weather conditions.

Residents should call 311 for things like downed trees or limbs that are in the street. For fires, accidents or medical emergencies, residents should call 911.
