ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - People who need to look at a criminal court case can now do so in Allen County via the Internet.
Starting Tuesday, the county has joined the state Odyssey Case Management System.
865,000 court cases dating back more than 20 years were entered into a database, that the public can access by visiting the state’s web site.
Indiana Court of Appeals Judge Paul Mathias says, “It brings to them the same efficiency that they're used to from the internet right here in their own court system, and they'll be able to see any cases that they have pending in the criminal court system here on the internet."
Mathias says the system also helps judges set appropriate bond amounts, by providing more complete criminal background information on defendants.
