MARION, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Charges have been filed stemming from a police action shooting on Christmas Day.
34-year-old Zar Dontay Dyson has been charged with four felony charges of intimidation, resisting law enforcement, pointing a firearm and unlawful use of body armor.
Marion Police were called to a bar Christmas morning on a report of a fight at a bar.
Once there an officer noticed Dyson back his vehicle into another car and take off. After a short pursuit police say Dyson then pointed a gun at them causing officers to fire at him in defense, striking him several times.
It was later determined that Dyson was wearing a bullet proof vest.
He is currently at a Fort Wayne hospital recovering from his injuries.
