INDIANA (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – Last weeks sever winter weather highlighted the states need for a more efficient travel alert system. That’s why State Senator Tom Wyss is pushing for a state-wide uniform communication system.
Senator Wyss says that both residents and emergency personal were confused when crossing county lines during last weeks winter storm.
Senate Bill 267 would establish a uniform county travel alert system in which all Hoosiers are better aware and protected. This would also allow emergency personnel to coordinate and position resources more efficiently.
The proposal will be heard at the Statehouse on Tuesday.
