WASHINGTON (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Governor Mitch Daniels finished about dead center in a Straw Poll of potential Republican candidates for the 2012 presidential race.
He got 4 percent in the poll at the Conservative Political Action Conference, or C-PAC, this weekend. But the vote was held before he addressed the convention Friday night.
Daniels finished just behind Minnesota Congresswoman Michelle Bachman and ahead of Sarah Palin.
Texas Congressman Ron Paul won the Straw Poll with 30 percent, followed by Mitt Romney, both were candidates in the 2008 election.
Daniels did not say whether he'll run for president.
