INDIANA (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Governor Mitch Daniels has joined 20 other Republican Governors requesting U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to make changes to the federal health care overhaul.
The Governors want flexibility in choosing which licensed insurers can operate within state boarders. They are also asking the feds to waive provisions they say discriminate against consumer driven health plans like health saving accounts.
Daniels claims the overhaul will cost Hoosier taxpayers $2.6 billion – 3 billion over a ten year period.
