FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – With the overnight low Thursday into Friday expected to dip to five above zero, frozen pipes remain a concern.
A technician for Korte Plumbing climbed into the crawl space beneath a home in the 7000 block of Bradbury Avenue in Waynedale Thursday afternoon to thaw pipes that froze.
Mark Ware says there are things you can do to try and avoid such problems.
Mark Ware/Korte Plumbing: " One of the best things to do is to leave your cabinets open so the heat gets in and leave the faucets running just a little bit, and that should keep it from freezing."
Hopefully, rising temperatures will give those pipes a break from needing sometimes-expensive fixes.
