FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - One of Time magazine's 100 most influential people in the world spoke in Fort Wayne on Friday.
Doctor Douglas Schwartentruber gave the keynote address at the Health Care Hero awards breakfast.
The Goshen doctor gained national attention for the results of his clinical trial on melanoma.
He says he is confident the battle against cancer will be won.
Douglas Schwartzentruber, MD with the Center for Cancer Care says, “We are making progress in a steady but cautious way. It's not an overnight cure for cancer, but every day we take baby steps in the right direction. I'm confident we will find a cure for cancer and in the near future.”
The awards honored organizations and individuals in the health care field.
